Please Mr. BNP member do not patronise us with the "we're all law abiding citizens" bit. We're not all stupid.

Change in society - by which I mean real change - rarely if ever comes about peacefully. For instance the Poll Tax riot in 1990; do you think Maggie T and her administration would have been so shocked by 100,000 people demonstrating a la CND in the early 1980s?

Er, no, of course not. And it wasn't that long ago, 1998 to be exact, that one Nick Griffin was talking about well-aimed boots and fists, van loads of supporters around the corner during canvassing and so on. Boy has he changed his tune. I remember in the late 80s early 90s when he talked about the "farce of democracy" and how he would never engage in it."

His tactics have changed, his essential aims and methods have not. At some point soon, BNP canvass teams will become a "legitimate target", like it or not. What are you gonna do then? Talk nicely to the men with the baseball bat, like the NF tried to (and failed) in the late 1970s? Or hope that the bored copper in the van will come to your aid? No, you'd better take self defence classes mate!

This is not an attempt to deride the BNP, simply to say that if your Swansea organiser is a well- known local football hooligan and the BNP second-in-command, Tony Lecomber, has convictions for bombing and violence, then what price respectability? Nearly all the leading BNP organisers and activists have criminal records for violence and the majority of these were NOT gained during political activity of any sort...

I think the point is that in areas where things are breaking down, and you need to physically defend your community against the police, the BNP, gangs of asylum seekers, drug dealers and/or none of the above (!) you cannot do it via sit-down protest.

Trades Unions, which Kevin Scott (BNP NE organiser) lauded at the RWB Festival, were not forged in harmony with government but through collective action that included self-defence and targetted political violence.
