Niall, in regard to Marx and contemporary use value etc there needs to be a a certain clarification. After much careful and pioneering research in late 1980's early 1990's RA demonstrated that Leninist's generally know fuck all about the method the claim to extol. More than 9 times out of ten often in complete ignorance, they come down on the side the argument Marx would have opposed.
However what the retreat to 'theory' and the jargon that goes with it usually means is that the author is not exactly sure what is going on in the here and nowm and so hides his retreat in a cloud of verbiage. This is what the working class correctly recognise as bollocks. Rather than illuminate, the know-nothing left serves only to cloud the issue. Look at the response to Le Pen and the BNP. Don't get me started on the response to the iWCA... As has been proved time and again the Left in Europe, with Britian as the worst example is dominated by fifth rate academics who are incapable of original thought and who invariably seek to use Marx or Lenin to justify their mediocrity. Come to think of it mediocre would be an advance. These bozos get EVERYTHING wrong!
