"Did they had hand them over to police?" Is this the same police force who supplied the gun to RUC agent William Stobie* to kill Pat Finucane;
The same police whose SB agent Ken Barrett actually killed the human rights laywer;
who did so on the orders of another Special Branch agent Tommy Lyttle who in turn was following the instructions of British Army agent Brian Nelson who set the killing up?

Is this the same police you are referring to - or is it another one?

The thing is Noel if as you infer it was all part of a deliberate and dastardly Republican plot to kill Protestants 'plain and simple', just for the fun of it why then do you suppose republicans didn't do it more often?

Talking about the British Security Forces generally I notice you use the term 'PIRA'. You are I suppose aware that PIRA is a Brit intelligence invented acronym? I can see why Daily Telegraph columnists might favour it for that very reason, (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)but I am more than a little curious to hear your explanation?
