It would seem that some on the British and Irish left/anarchist groups, none of whom are engaged in any form of anti-imperialist struggle themselves,are arguing for more of the same to be visited upon America by raiders from the 12th Century. Why? The prospect of an anti-war movement appeals for party building purposes? Surely the prospect of a brutal conflict between 21st century imperialist zealots in the form of a rapidly solidifying and expanding new world order and 12th century zealots attempting to drag society back to the dark ages is abhorent. Moreover the effect on progressive revolutionary movements of oppressed peoples of the bombings in America has been to paralyse them, from Palestine to Ireland it was not a good day.
