Re: More Terrorism, not less, is necessary.

My two-pence worth on this is that mostr on the left have taken this kind of 'YES!' stance, while those on the right have taken the YES! stance aswell. The left, however, is going something like 'YES! Now the imperialist dogs wil burn' whereas the right is going YES! now we'll really get loads of votes on the pakis out policy in 2002.

Of course, the rational stance on this is to see that terrorism is grounded mainly in economic and cultural gaps and policies, with a religious facade.

Ireland is a case in point. Massive inequality, but justified by the protestant/Unionists as 'they're only f*cking taigs so what does it matter'

The problem is, that the left, and by this I don't mean the sane people in RA, but the SA and so forth, are trying to attract middle class students instead of the wider working class. The students will give it the
YEAH! Death to the capitalist lackeys! line till it comes out of their ears, but it dont get you no votes. It dont get you no support on the estates.

WHY? Because the average working class person is thinking ... They may have a point, but 6000 deaths is just too much to justify.

No-one can justify death. Even the SA loonies who have got the revolution pencilled in for next tuesday at 8 (bring a friend and the money from the papers you've sold), can't do it convincingly. The only thing I will say on the matter is that if democracy and equality are freely given, then no- one should die for it. If they are withheld, then we should fight those who withhold them. And if that means collateral damage - DEATHS OF INNOCENTS, then that is an unpalatable but necessary evil to swallow. But it shouldn't be glorified or applauded. Each life taken in the war to freedom - the war on the poor that has dominated civilization since time began - should be taken in the sober reflection that this is not a good thing.
