Umis Sahingoz, a 32yr old former prisoner & member of the banned marxist group- revolutionary peoples liberation front became the 34th turkish hunger striker to die,on friday 14th september. One of the first batch of hunger strikers, umis succumbed on the 330th day of her fast. "Blessed is the man who stands before his god in pain, on his back a cross of woe, his wounds a gaping shame, for this man is a son of god & hallowed be his name".
