The wtc attack must be condemned as a nihilistic act of slaughter.No cause or faith was served by this attack. The prime suspect, Ossama Bin Laden,is a religious fascist allied to the clerical-fascist Taliban regime of Afghanistan. The US and UK military may now decide to turn on their former protegees and smash the Taliban fascists.What's the problem with that? We in the Socialist Labour Party should have nothing to do with the SWP's liberal "coalition against the war". What we do need to consider is a struggle against fascism within our communities which targets the religious fascism which seems to attract some Asian youth simultaneously with the struggle against white fascism, and putting forward Socialism which is the only genuine anti-imperialism as the alternative. Racial strife is the main danger which the present situation presents. It is also something which we can actually do something about rather than the futile posturing of the SWP windbags. A final point, a friend of my family lost a relative who worked in one of the wtc towers, this person happened to be a muslim.This attack was certainly not a strike against imperialism.
