35th Deathfaster dies in Turkey.

On Wednesday 19-09-01 21yr old Abdulbahr Yufoglu became the 35th Turkish Deathfast
protester to die. Although he came from Izmir, in the Agean region of Turkey, Abdulbahr died in a deathfast house in Armatlu after 137 days on the deathfast protest. His remains were due to leave Armatlu tonight for burial in his home town tomorrow.
An IRSP delegation is presently in Armatlu having slipped through a military cordon around the town on Monday. Paul Little(Belfast), Mickey Devine(Derry City),Terry Harkin(IRSP International Dept) and James O Sullivan from the Dublin Turkish Solidarity Committee had gone into Armatlu to meet with the protesters and their families and it was they who conveyed the sad news of Abdubahr's death to us. The Irish Republican Socialist Movement send their sincerest condolences to the family, friends
and comrades of Abdulbahr Yufoglu. We share in your grief and in your loss and we send you not only our unwavering solidarity but an assurance that our support for your struggle will continue until you have acheived the victory your martyrs have earned with their lives.
