That the IRA objectively fight for capitial should be proved by their suppression in the civil war of the factory occupations in Mallow as one example. If that is to be considered ancient history than take the obivious fact that they have been used to incourage passivity on the part of us proletarians under attack from the sectarian British state and it's death squads(UDA,UVF,LVF)- i.e. the boys will take care of it. Not that I am in anyway opposed to guerrilla actions or individual acts of terror but in the case of the 6 counties these have to be put into their proper polictical perspective- does this empower or disempower the proletariat? They seek to take our geniune rage at loyalist/state terror, poverty, religious bigotery, etc and channel it not towards the abolition of wage-labour, not towards the dicatatorship of the proletariat but towards a united Ireland and make out from that the nationalist wing of fianna fail is somehow the ally of us, the besieged northern working class. The existence of an independent state in modern capitialism is a virtual impossibility, national-liberation has proved itself a chimera(look at Africa- continued economic plundering by the western capitialists and polictical domination either by the US or USSR). By keeping our struggle tied to what amounts to bourgious demands ( right of nations to self- determination, more democracy, equallity before the law, etc- mind you the french revolution and it's ideals have past mr trimble by) they make it
intergratable into the framework of capitial.
The British left might belive that us paddies are by nature not advanced enough for communism and therefore support a nationalist group here but I personally belive that the reason we might be so backward is exactly because of the pioson of nationalism and the idealogy of "anti-imperialism">
