Well, as a non-aligned (Irish) republican socialist I give critical
support to all aspects of the struggle for national liberation and socialism in Ireland, from SF/IRA,IRSP/INLA,
32SC/RIRA and RSF/CIRA as well as the CPI and ISP. However, as regards Sinn Fein, I feel
that they may be regressing down the road of Social Democracy and as we all know you can't win
a revolution with Red Roses - you need hammers, sickles and starry ploughs. My other fear is that
if somehow they become the one party of the NI working class, crossing the community divide, then they
will be happy to remain in the relative power the illegal statlet grants them rather than be
in an extremish minority on an all-Ireland basis, thereby abandoning any sense of revolutionaryism, simply
paying lip service to unity. However, I believe that, at the moment anyway, this will not happen.
Its just a niggling fear at the back of my mind.
