I thought the 'fascism in Ireland' stuff hilarious. However to describe the author neutrally as an 'journalist/commentator' hardly does her justice. Along with Kevin Myers, other former Stickies, and touts like Sean O Callaghan. 'Deadly Dudley' is on one of the principle apologists for unionism/loyalism operating [mainly] out of Ireland in the last 20 years. It is all to easy to imagine her in her tweed skirt and sensible shoes doing a similar job to explain away the excesses of Sir Oswalds 'boys' and pour scorn on the efforts of working class anti-fascists in a different age.
Set alongside the near tripling of SF council seats from 71 to 104 last time I looked, her article smacks of desperation and disbelief. You didn't mention who commissioned incidentally? Still, wonderful stuff. More of the same!
