Can someone please tell me the difference between 'Decommissioning' and 'puting arms beyond use'? 10 years ago, suggesting either of these options was an immediate expulsion from the IRA, actually carrying these actions out was punishable by death.

"commitment to peace, and a commitment to put the guns beyond use."
What about the commitment to protecting their communities?
"We republicans will be strong, united and confident, and in control of much of our country and our lives"
The republican movement is not united, nor is it at its strongest, and tell me this, how has these election results left the Irish "in control of much of our country and lives"
Did the RUC disband? Did the British Army withdraw? Was the 26 and 6 counties united? Has the exploitation of the working class ended?
