This idea is foolish and unscientific. White people would only become black in a hot climate or black people white in a cold climate if it provided an advantage for individuals who were either lighter or darker, and this made them more likely to survive.

In actual fact, dark pigmentation was thought to have originated more as disease protection than sun protection (even areas of the body that are not exposed to the sun have dark pigment), but the pigment is produced from nutrients that could not be spared in the cold and food deficient areas of Europe that existed thousands of years ago.
