Regarding what members of what support group called for the murder of Mumia, a regional contact (for Virginia) of NorAid, once Sinn Fein's main fundraising group in the U.S., is on record as referring to Mumia as "that cop killing scum bag Mumia Abu Jamal" in the course of an introduction to an article from a Philadelphia newspaper written against Mumia.

Referring to the member of the racist Philadelphia police force -- infamous for their incendiary assault on MOVE years ago -- for whose death Mumia was sentenced to death row, the rep concluded: "May Danny Faulkner's soul rest in peace, may Jamal burn in Hell."

This feeling against Mumia is shared by many others who have consistently critiqued other groups for supporting Mumia. NorAid itself has been called on to distance itself from such statements, but so far no such action has been taken. It should be noted that officially, the regional contact has since resigned his post, but remains a member.
