Can't tell you what organisations actually support the killing of Mumia but it reminded me of an incident in an Irish bar just outside Philadelphia last year. I was minding my own business and enjoying the music being churned out by the rebel band when in the middle of 'Men behind the Wire' a group of the bar's patrons started chanting 'Up the 'ra, Gas Mumia' !!! I asked the bar tender what was going down and he explained to me that the guys shouting it were off-duty Philadelphia police officers and that they do a roaring trade selling 'Execute Mumia' T-shirts in Irish bars around the local vicinity (Supposedly the cop he shot was a Philly Irish-American). Having spent a lot of time around Irish-Americans, particularly in the South Boston area, I've found them not to be too progressive when it comes down to things like race though naturally they're as good as gold regarding the six counties.
