I would like to suggest that the notion of a NO platform to facist is lead by fear. The fear I speake of is due to the failure of the left, and the broader elements of the socialist 'community' to fill the vaccum left by the constant rejection by the labour movement of real working class representation.
If by refusing in public or even on a website, to engage in debate with the facists then the work of RA in reducing the facist on the streets to a small tokinist group will have been a waste of time.
By appearing or in-fact being blinded to what can be achieved by the BNP in the working class area's up and down the country, we then start to allow a perception within working class area's that we are fearful of the facist,either by actions or debate, we will finally lose any real hope of offering a real alternative to working class area's.
