The turnout for the AFA meeting was dissappointing, however the important Coventry Socialist Alliance Election conference was on the previous day, several RA supporters gave their apologies on the grounds that they had the AFA meeting the day after. The conference was one where votes were tight, and I genuinely imagine you'd have had a bigger turnout had people not been knackered from car journeys the day before or getting it in the ear from the partners/kids etc. That is not to excuse the turnout and representation from the groups.
Maybe some other forum should be organised with reps from the groups taking responsibility for the meeting , rather than it being an invite job. Maybe outside London. I'd be happy to organise such a forum in the north east if anyone is interested.
