Lawrie, Phil, it might be helpful in order to get this issue of democracy kicked off into some kind of discussion that you give us some kind of summary of your position(s) regarding party structures, democracy and democratic centralism. That's not a trap, just an idea where we might start on this important subject. I believe that any working class party's internal democracy will be crucial to how it is percieved outside of its own small world and, indeed, it should provide clues as to how that "party" might govern given the opportunity.
