I think the article makes a good point about the liklihood of a rise in english nationalism. Where I would disagree is with the assumption that it is the tories who are inevitably going to gain from this. This goes against the evidence from Europe where the beneficiaries of such trends have been the far-right euro-nationalists, with the more mainstream parties having to lurch to the right just to try and keep up.
