yeh, well i did say; "a lot of students are middle class public school tossers, no doubt. but most people
were working class/lower middle class" and i was just referring to sunderland, which is definitely not the case elsewhere. i just meant that i dont understand the point of constantly making jokes about middle class, hippy, feminist studies, white guilt, etc, if all you want is more people to be able to go to uni. personally i think it should be free and open to all. but i only went cos i couldnt even GET a permanent, full time job, which also tells you a lot about the current state of the class system. i suppose i a also think its immediately going to alienate anyonewho thinks they dont think they fit your conecption of 'working class'. but i can agree as well that a lot of middle class people are a waste of time politically.
