Most people at university are working class? By what criteria? No known ones.
Approx 6% of children from a manual working class background go to university.
The same as in 1926 the year of the General Strike.
What it comes down to is that the chances of going to university if living in an underfunded working class neighbourhood, as against the acceptance of someone from a public school are currently 100-1 against.
There is a breakdown of the political implications in a number of articles in the archives somewhere.
Having said all that, if you are working class and have actually gone to university, your post is a walking advertisement for those those on the Right who maintain 'educating the working classes is a waste of time'!
