Fascist meeting in London

Official Foundation of the New Right / Book Launch

Agenda: This meeting will introduce for the very first time a fresh and exciting project known as 'New Right'. Concerned at the increasing plight of the British Isles and Europe in general, this dynamic and strictly metapolitical group seeks to unite the disparate strands of the British Right and get everybody pulling in the same direction.

Points of reference: Friedrich Nietzsche, Armin Mohler, Edgar Jung, Carl Schmitt, Ernst Junger, Julius Evola, Rene Guenon, Jean Thiriart, Alain de Benoist, Robert Steuckers, Pierre Vial, Guillaume Faye, Alexander Dugin, Michael Walker.

Date: Sunday 12th December 2004

Time: From 2.00pm until 6.00pm

Venue: Sun Tavern, 66 Long Acre, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9JH (fully licensed bar, food served until 4pm)

Nearest tube: Covent Garden, Holborn or Tottenham Court Road

NEW RIGHT COMMITTEE:

Chairman: Jonothon Boulter
Secretary: Troy Southgate
Treasurer: Lee Consterdine
Press Officer: Dino Caligari
Liason Officer: Micheal Woodbridge

GUEST SPEAKERS:

*Dr. Tomislav Sunic (Professor of Political Science): AGAINST DEMOCRACY & EQUALITY
*Robert Steuckers (Synergies Européennes, Orientations): HISTORY OF THE NEW RIGHT

BOOK LAUNCH:

The acclaimed Croatian author, Dr. Tomislav Sunic, will be promoting his new book, 'Against Democracy and Equality' (Noontide Press, 2004), and taking a detailed look at the European "New Right", a significant intellectual movement of men and women concerned about the survival of the West.

The book provides a survey of the New Right's origins, impact and outstanding figures, and an overview of the theory of "revolutionary conservatism". A healthy, enduring society, say New Right thinkers, must be based on the natural principles of hierarchy and aristocracy. Carl Schmitt, Oswald Spengler, Alain de Benoist, and the other leading figures of this intellectual current contend that egalitarianism - whether manifest in Marxism or in liberal democracy - inevitably leads to social decay and entropy.

Rejecting both traditional liberalism and conservatism, the New Right calls for a European rebirth rooted in a stern awareness of history and human nature, and based on a recognition of Europe as an organic entity.

This book, explains a review in American Renaissance newsletter, "not only traces the history of 'revolutionary conservatism' but introduces a contemporary school of European writers who are struggling to find answers to the questions that are not yet being asked ... Dr. Sunic has given us an important book. This review can only begin to summarize the richness of thought that he has found in scores of books and journals that are not even available in English. Dr. Sunic has opened the door to a great but little-known body of learning that directly addresses our current crisis."

Copies of Dr. Sunic's magnum opus - as well as various other literature - will be available to purchase at the meeting itself. Please feel free to bring your own material and don't forget to invite your friends!

Fascist meeting in London

What's the point of it, are they going to be a political party?
* If no, then what's the point of existing, how are they going to change anything if they're not a group dedicated to action as well as ideas?
* If yes, what for? The BNP already exists.

You don't need to be able to quote Jung or Nietzsche on the doorstep in a council election.

I'm on the political right of things, and even I'm bored already by the sound of it.

Another talking shop. Either that or a government organised honey trap.

Please explain how this is a 'fascist' meeting. Pointless ivory-tower, self-indulgent escapism yes, but not fascist.

Exactly. That's why they're for ignorant tossers like you.

I really wish these Nazi goons from the likes of the BNP et al would mind their own business. Despite the fact that one interfering cretin decided to send these details on to a Revisionist mailing list, of all places, this was actually a private METAPOLITICAL meeting. If we'd have wanted the Far Right to turn up, which we didn't, we'd have asked them. And please don't bore us to death with the 'fascist' epithet, I've been an opponent of fascism all my life.

Or why don’t you find a forum where everybody broadly agrees with each other and there’s no real debate. Perhaps one where the contributors use a lot of naughty swear words in an attempt to make themselves look ‘working class’.

Go back to Urban75, matey – you know you want to.

But the invitation says “don't forget to invite your friends!”. What if one of your select circle has a friend who has joined the BNP? Surely you wouldn't ban them?

You seem to be in love with the term ‘New Right’. What’s the distinction between this and the old right, or the Far Right for that matter?

I think you’ll find that more than a few of your supporters and contributors such as Troy Southgate and Michael Walker have at one stage been involved in what the media might inaccurately call the ‘Far Right’.
Personally I would have thought that a gathering with such intellectual pretensions as yours wouldn’t use such simplistic and redundant terms as ‘Left’ or ‘Right’, but still.

Enjoy your trip to the ivory tower.

The BNP were not invited in an official capacity, it's as simple as that. I personally loathe the orgainsation and have been saying so for almost 20 years. But individuals can be shown the eror of their ways and it doesn't mean that we can stop BNP people - or anyone else, come to that - actually turning up on the day. The term 'New Right', meanwhile, relates to the intellectual and metapolitical current mostly propagated overseas by the likes of Robert Steuckers, Alain de Benoist and others. In England, for example, we had Michael Walker (Scorpion), although he has lived in Cologne for many years now. Walker may have been involved with the NF, as I was myself at one point, but his departure marked the important transition from Far Right to New Right in my opinion. Not that people should ever seek to play down their pasts, anyway, life is one big learning curve. As far as using the labels 'left' and 'right' is concerned, the term 'New Right' is used in this case to denote a specific current on the Continent. I'm an Anarchist and so I don't consider myself Right-wing at all. That's why I wasn't one of the speakers. This was a chance to hear what the New Right actually thinks about certain matters, and to see if we could establish any common ground.

However, now that the information has been posted in this forum we've been forced to cancel the meeting altogether due to threats of violence. I hope those of you who threatened the landlord of the pub are proud of yourselves. You wouldn't get National-Anarchists attacking other people's meetings or seeking to get them cancelled.

DOWN WITH FASCISM AND LEFTIST DOGMA!

sounds like a load of bollocks for trainspotters.
It is highly unlikely any one individual would have a comprehensive understanding of the above, as most of the writers wrote tonnes of very complex stuff.
In fact attempting to disipher the above into a coherant logical world perspective, would lead to serious confussion.
It has more to do with mysticism/occultism/metaphyscics and trying to find the meaning to life then fascism. Jung was not a fascist.
Infact calling everyone fascist makes the term meaningless.
The above event is the rights equivilant to the meeting marxists have about post modern feminism in guatamala in light of the coffee bean crisis.

It's difficult to attack anything much when there's three of you in total .

And if you had established some common ground, what then? Another bout of mutual back-slapping? Another meeting? Or perhaps a meeting to discuss further meetings?

Talk without action is completely sterile. Talking shops, however you try to didguise it, are for those too cowardly or too aloof to climb down from their Ivory Tower to actually do any thing!

It's certainly true that 'National-Anachists' wouldn't attack anyone:
1) It would take them at least a year to discuss it
2) They wouldn't have the bottle
3) With only three people to rely on, they wouldn't get very far!
